Musah Abdul Rashid, on Thursday, 9th July, 2026, welcomed a delegation from the Tree Crops Development Authority (TCDA), led by the Northern Zonal Manager, Mr. Sumaila Alhassan Dubie, to his office in Wulensi for discussions on strengthening collaboration to promote sustainable tree crop development in the district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Receiving the delegation, Hon. Musah Abdul Rashid expressed his appreciation to the TCDA team for the courtesy call and described the engagement as timely, considering the immense agricultural potential of Nanumba South. He reaffirmed the Assembly&#8217;s commitment to working closely with the Authority to unlock opportunities within the tree crop sector for the benefit of farmers and the local economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The DCE noted that agriculture remains the backbone of the district&#8217;s economy and stressed that expanding the cultivation and commercialization of tree crops such as shea, mango and cashew would create sustainable livelihoods, generate employment for the youth and women, and contribute significantly to poverty reduction.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Nanumba South, Hon.
