July 1st, 2025 \u2014 A Historic Day<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the 1st of July 2025, history was made in Japugando, a Konkomba community in the Northern Region of Ghana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the first time ever, clean, drinkable, life-saving water gushed freely from the earth \u2014 echoing across the village like a hymn of hope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This breakthrough was made possible by the Ross Family Viva Foundation Corp USA, led by Mr. Nick Ross, in collaboration with PAMEPI Women in Tech Ghana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat was once a dream is now a reality.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

DCE Hon.Musah Abdul Rashid: “This Is the Beginning of Hope”<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The District Chief Executive of Nanumba South, Hon. Musah Abdul Rashid, joined the community for the commissioning of the borehole. With deep emotion, he said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is more than water \u2014 this is survival. I\u2019ve long prayed for organizations like Ross Family Viva Foundation and PAMEPI Women in Tech Ghana to support us. Today, Japugando is remembered. But this must only be the beginning.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He called for more support to provide:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • \ud83c\udfeb A school building for Japugando\u2019s children<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • \ud83c\udfe5 A medical center to end preventable deaths<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    \u201cWe\u2019re doing our part. But we can\u2019t do this alone.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Voices of the Women: From Burden to Joy<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

    The Women Leader of Japugando, with tears in her eyes and hands lifted to the sky, said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u201cWe have suffered too long. Our backs broke from carrying water. Our hearts, tired from being forgotten. But today, you remembered us. And now, we will remember you \u2014 in our songs, in our prayers, and in our healing.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This borehole means:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Tears of Purpose: PAMEPI Executive Director Speaks<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

      Chief Yakubu Fuseini, Executive Director of PAMEPI Women in Tech Ghana, said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \u201cThis is why we do what we do. But this isn\u2019t enough. Today, I make a vow \u2014 to call on more partners, more hearts, more hands. Japugando deserves more. They deserve everything.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      From Stuck Truck to Surging Stream: Perseverance in Action<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

      The project initially targeted Namani village, but deep muddy terrain trapped the drilling truck. Despite rising costs and risks, the mission didn’t stop. The team, with the DCE\u2019s help, pivoted to Japugando.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      By Sunday morning, the drill hit water \u2014 and hope burst forth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
